SLR Beverages Case Study
SLR Beverages www.slrbev.co.za is a alcohol sales and marketing company in South Africa. They have 6 reps across the country who perform sales calls in the field. SLR Beverages currently services 500 liquor stores and growing.
SLR Beverages has 6 reps across the country and these reps have to capture orders, present catalogs while in the field. The challenge is that all orders are processed in Durban. Reps have to write down all the orders and only capture them at night which means all customer orders are processed the following day and this delays deliveries for customers furthermore the reps have to carry paper catalogs sometimes with outdated pricing. That’s is not all, managing reps has proved to be a nightmare for the management because;
- Manually tracking each rep order is cumbersome
- Sales calls are inaccurate as managers do not know which stores were visited and if they were visited
- Revenue predictability, managers, because of lack of data are unable to predict revenue for the month and are unable to plan sales initiative.
Webcradle consulted with SLR Beverages to understand all their challenges and to understand what their goal was. Repstar, a sales management and CRM system was then implemented for SLR Beverages. Within a month, SLR Beverages was able to:
- Process sales orders in real time.
- Rep activity could be monitored remotely
- Intuitive reports allowed managers to predict their revenue
- Reps were confident that they were giving customers the correct information as the catalogs and all other documents were always up to date and could be updated in real time
The result was an improvement in employee morale as well as a revenue increase of 15% in the first month of implementation
